HAUS29

a carefully curated interior with timeless design classics.

In the living area, lamps from Louis Poulsen create elegant lighting accents that underscore the Scandinavian sense of design. A particular highlight is the Natura armchair from the 1970s, designed by Karin Mobring, which exudes rustic charm with its pine frame and leather seat. A USM Haller lowboard blends harmoniously into the overall composition with its minimalist aesthetic.

The dining area is characterized by a table and chairs by Hans Wegner and is illuminated by a Splügen Bräu pendant light, designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1961. The walls are adorned with a diverse collection of artworks by various artists, adding color and personality to the space. Shelves are lined with books on architecture and design, which serve both as sources of inspiration and as reflections of the house’s design concept. In the bedroom, a Kartell Componibili with its modular design stands for flexibility and style.

HAUSZWEINEUN on the Schlei is not an ordinary house – it is a space that dissolves boundaries and challenges the familiar notion of architecture. Originally built as a log house in the 1970s, it has evolved over the decades into a place where wood, light, and space are in constant dialogue. The massive wooden construction does not act as a rigid framework but as a living element that breathes and changes over time.

Large window frames capture the changing moods of the Schlei, making the landscape part of the living space – not as a backdrop, but as a co-inhabitant. The rooms are open, yet never empty; they speak of a careful balance between community and retreat, between function and atmosphere.

Is there a spot in the house that you particularly loved to spend time in? - We especially loved spending our evenings in front of the fireplace, comfortably settled into one of the stylish designer pieces that give the living room its distinctive character.

What small adventures await just outside the front door? - Right outside the front door, you’re greeted by an unfiltered view of the Schlei and the pure nature surrounding it. Coming from the hustle and bustle of the city, you quickly learn to appreciate the simple path down to the water – a small adventure that brings so much peace and perspective.

What sounds accompany you here on holiday? - Nothing but silence and nature. The gentle rustling of the wind in the dune grass in front of the house, the distant call of storks, and the sound of geese flying in large flocks overhead.
